Joey Camps is a multifaceted music producer, audio engineer, photographer, and creative director with a deep appreciation for storytelling through sound and visuals. Born in Mexico City and having spent significant time in San Antonio, Texas and Chicago, Illinois, he developed a love for music across genres—from country and blues to the timeless elegance of Bolero music.

His journey into music production began at a young age, playing in garage bands and recording his own projects. By middle school, he was already producing music for his bands, a passion that eventually led him to Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Music Production and Writing and Music Technology. At Berklee, he refined his skills in audio engineering, gaining hands-on experience with both analog and digital systems.

Beyond music production, Joey found a passion for creative direction, blending his expertise in sound with photography and videography. Since 2018, he has photographed for artists, bands, and both small and large corporations, specializing in film photography (120mm and 35mm) while also mastering digital formats. His ability to weave together music, visuals, and storytelling has led him to work on ambitious projects, including assisting in the production of various commercials that tested his creative and logistical skills.

As a creative director, he has collaborated with artists, and brands as well as working on projects with his band, León Gala. His work is driven by a desire to create immersive artistic experiences that resonate deeply with audiences, whether through the warm, nostalgic tones of film photography, the intricate layers of a song, or the visual storytelling of a music video.

With a lifelong passion for music, photography, and the magic of creative expression, Joey Camps continues to push artistic boundaries, constantly seeking new ways to tell stories through sound and imagery.
